What's an Adobe Acrobat file ?

Acrobat (or 'pdf') is simply a way of distributing text, pictures and drawings exactly as they were intended to be seen and printed, without worrying what kind of computer the person viewing the file has. This is possible because Adobe has made a free viewer available for almost every type of commonly used computer. The easiest and quickest way to install Acrobat reader for PC and Mac users is to find it on a computer magazine cover disk (it's usually on there!). If you don't have a copy or are not using a PC or Macintosh, then download it from Adobe.
